Volunteers Lend Hands to DC Prep Garden

Volunteers got hands on experience in the DC Prep Garden last Saturday. Participants were able to help Mary Crom, Garden Coordinator, weed and work on sections of the garden that were not regularly maintained. Although the work day only lasted a few hours, you were able to see the difference in the garden by checking out the huge pile of weeds on the compost. When the volunteers were finished they enjoyed snacks that included a tasty drink made with mint leaves from the garden.
